The redevelopment of the heart of Workington Town Centre with the creation of Washington Square Shopping Centre for West Cumbria with 280,000 sq ft of retail accommodation and a 430 space multi-storey car park, including a 75,000 sq ft Debenhams department store, a 16,000 sq ft Next and units let to HMV, New Look, Clintons, Deichmann, C & J Clark, Body Shop, Bon Marche, Ethel Austin, Bodycare, Costa Coffee, H Samuel, Barratts, Shoe Express, Thomas Cook and Claire’s Accessories.

2006 saw the completion of phase II of the development and lettings to Poundland, Mark 1, River Island, Home Bargains, Greggs, O2, The Perfume Shop and Laura Ashley.
