The 515,000 sq ft Bridges Shopping Centre, Sunderland is one of the North of England’s principal sub regional shopping centres with over 100 shops, 1300 car parking spaces and a 107,000 sq ft Debenhams Department Store. The scheme was extended in 2000 by the addition of a further 265,000 sq ft of which 95% was pre-let to the date of opening introducing new tenants or larger stores for existing tenants such as H & M, Next, Superdrug, Republic, New Look, T K Maxx, Beaverbrooks, Ottakers, HMV, complementing the existing tenant mix which includes Boots the Chemist, Etam, Clarks, Goldsmiths, Mark One, Tesco Metro, Clinton Cards and Wallis.
